In order to seize the high-speed development opportunities in various segments of robotics, build a communication platform in the robotics field, and accelerate scientific and technological innovation in the robotics industry, the Industrial Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with Shanghai Pudong New Area Science and Technology and Economic Committee and Shanghai Zhangjiang (Group) Co., Ltd. The company co-hosted the 2023 Robot Technology Innovation Forum and the 2nd Zhangjiang Robot Ecology Summit in the Zhangjiang Science Hall on March 17. As invited companies, Liang Rui, President of ABB Robotics China, Wang Tong, head of ABB Robotics China's consumer goods and service robot business unit, and Zhang Jiafan, head of ABB Robotics China Research Center, attended the summit.

At the main opening ceremony of the summit, the Shanghai Zhangjiang Robotics Industry Alliance was announced to be established. As a member of the alliance, ABB Robotics will continue to help the robot industry in Zhangjiang to realize the integration of innovation chains such as production, learning, research, and use, and promote technological exchanges. At the same time, the unveiling ceremony of the ABB Robotic Empowerment Center was also held at the opening ceremony. Xia Yuzhong, Deputy Director of Pudong New Area Science and Technology Commission, and Liang Rui, President of ABB Robotics China, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Empowerment Center. ABB Robotic Empowerment Center is located in Zhangjiang Robot Valley and is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2023

The new Open Innovation Center will also help ABB Robotics collaborate with partners and customers to develop innovative solutions, unlocking more possibilities for flexible automation in new fields such as logistics, healthcare, food and beverages
